The Ties That Bind Us
Corbin

The days seem to fly by Haydée, each one so fleeting that she hardly seems able to grab ahold of it before the next one begins. With the return of Corbin and his injury that requires him to be off his paws for a bit, the girl had taken time to tidy up his den and help him get settled back into pack life. It is a brisk autumn morning when the young woman seeks out her brother, intent on checking in with him. They have each handled their father’s death differently and Corbin had been the first to find the dismembered remains of Gavroche.
During the transition of Ethne’s leadership from Bellamy to her paws, the girl lost track of several of her siblings and how they were coping. Corbin seems to have taken Gavroche’s death extremely hard and Haydée regrets not keeping better track of him. Sure, he had needed to explore away from Ethne but she still should have tried to check in. With a small sigh, she reaches the entrance to Corbin’s den and pauses, gently calling out, “Corbin? Mind if I come in?”
Poking her head inside, she checks to make sure that he is actually doing what Dorian had recommended and staying off his paws but, knowing him, Corbin probably wasn’t resting.
"Haydée Kedieo"

"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.”
Haydée has a male northern cardinal named Chanson and a female fossa named Manon. They are always close by.

Corbin knew he couldn’t stay gone forever. Well, mostly he knew that. Some wolves roamed as lone wolves their entire life so it really was possible. It wouldn’t work though. Corbin had to live with their father's horrible death. He’d been able to do no more than stare at the freshly killed corpse. He hadn’t been fast enough then.
Lying sprawled out in the den, bored with recuperating, an aching throb in the leg, and an aching heart he was hardly a cheery soul. The world had been simple and filled with wonder as a pup. Now it was filled with …well, enough said.
Still, having his family near was nice, at least for a time. His tail swished in greeting as he heard Haydee’s voice, “Come on in Hay,” a second pause before adding in a bit of dry humor, “Just layin around.”
