Kaino had managed to fell a big old rutting deer with a busted leg. She'd put the thing out of its misery with relative ease, seeing as how it couldn't run, and then began the arduous task of dragging the damn thing back to the rest of the group. She wasn't weak, but with a big fat buck this size, it wasn't an easy job. The job was slow and time consuming. If the rest of the band wasn't thankful for this, she'd let them starve in the future. As Kai neared the area where the Saxe bunch would be, the marbled woman happened to look back behind her. Good thing that she did, too. Mint and ice eyes caught a big puff of steam curling up into the sky and then lowered to rest on the form of a big old grizzly. The wind hadn't been working in her favor and the fae considered biting it for a moment, but decided not to in the end. It was clear that the bear wanted her buck and it should have been clear to the bear that she wasn't going to give it up. Kaino stepped between her kill and the hulking, earthen hued beast. The fae's silvery puff tail fluffed up over her spine and her hackles raised. Lips peeled back to show the threatening glint of fangs The low snarl that ripped from her was a warning. If the bear chose to ignore her warning, then it would bleed. "Speech"

If no one else would speak on the matter, it seemed that their place of choosing was infested with bears. The beasts scent lingered on nearly everything surrounding the polar itself. Annoying him to no end. If this is all that would come about claiming these lands, Cifarelli surely had words for his brother. Biting his tongue having become a thing as of recent to ensure Sephiran did not come for him indirectly. Let there be peace before the chaos rips through like a hurricane. Something he knew would soon come. New wolves staking their place with heavy urine and scratched branches? Carcasses littering around in various places. Cifa stretched out along the boulder he preoccupied. His overly large body taking up most of the hard grey surface with a somber gaze. He’d been watching over what all he could see from his perch. Prey had begun to migrate onto their territory. A few wolves ran patrol. Some strangers ventured pass without a single thought. Clearly sensing the new band who’d taken refuge here. Birds dotted the skies. However, it was of a fresh scent that carried to his nose that aroused him. Those sharp blood eyes narrowing to capture what looked like a new female. Her coat screamed Saxe. Hips moving in a way to drag her kill t’wards base. Only to be stopped by the onslaught of an earth toned bear. His head came to tilt. Would he help? Perhaps. Although, he wished to see what the woman could do for herself. Settling onto his haunches with arched ears. The black plague watched with mild interest and a light smirk. "Speaks"

Had Kaino known that Cifa was watching while she battled a big ass bear all by herself... she probably would have bitten him right in his smug little face. As she didn't know that she had an audience, Kai's attention was all for the bear. The beast lumbered towards her and her kill and Kaino continued to bristle, snap and snarl. It wasn't going to work and she already knew it. One wolf against a bear that big and that hungry? It was madness and the shambling ursine knew it. What he didn't know was that Kaino was a little mad. Kicking off of the cooling body of the buck, Kaino rocketed towards the bear, meeting it before it could meet her. Diving upwards, the woman's teeth grabbed one floppy jowl, forcing an instant groan of pain from the bear. It raised one paw that was bigger than her head with the intent to slap her silly. THe lavender and charcoal fae planted her paws, jerked backwards with all of her might, then backpedaled before the paw could strike her. Blood coated both of their faces, but none of it was hers. The wiggly lip of the bear hung in tatters. It had been hungry before, but now it was pissed. Rightly so. "Speech"

Her first move had caught him slightly by surprise. Such a thing like herself couldn’t have thought she would be able to take on a massive opponent like the bear alone. However, the charcoal and lavender woman proved him wrong. The sight made him chuckle quietly; before, he launched his body from his perch. Easing smoothly into the shadowed coverings provided by its usual darkness. Paws maneuvered his body through the various trees. Avoiding stepping in anything that would alert the grizzly or the female of his presence. Constant sounds of rage escaping the predator. Cifarelli took this time to calculate his next approach. Sharp red eyes scanned over different open spaces. Attacking the hind leg would leave him open for injury. He could latch onto either side. But, that would then gravitate to him planning a quick recovery to avoid being hit. Decisions. Decisions. The black plague tapped his tail lightly against the ground in thought. Lips pulling back in a sinister smirk the moment he made up his mind. Moving his body across the space dividing them, jaws snapped around the area where side met belly. Blood splattering inside of his mouth with every twist and turn of his head. He tugged the flesh as much as he could. The familiar sound of rip and tear penetrating his ears. Their opponent roared in pain. Twisting to try and reach Cifa with a heavily large paw. Claws meeting nothing but air as the Saxe male swiftly shifted from where he’d been to a couple inches away. A piece of flesh hanging from his jaws and a gaping wound now displayed on the bear’s abdomen/side. "Speaks"

Cifa came out of nowhere and took a chunk out of the bear. Coming up beside him, Kaino snapped at the man and flicked him with her silver bunny tail before attacking the bear once more. The woman bit into the bears knee, feeling the grind of bone against her teeth. Kaino's head thrashed back and forth on a powerful neck, rending the flesh and loosening the joint with a pop that she could feel reverberate through her entire mouth. The bear screamed. It was a sound unlike any that Kaino had ever heard come out of a bear. Lifting its injured back leg, the ursine began to flee, realizing that it had been bested this day. To make sure that it ran and kept running, Kai chased after it for a short distance, snarling and snapping at the beasts heels, but the fight was gone within her. Moving back to her kill, the bloodied woman wrinkled her nose at the dark man. "Was that all that you could manage?" Kaino had teased Cifa all throughout their lives together. Now that they were adults, had he expected that to change? With a roll of mint and ice eyes, Kai bit into the neck of the buck and continued to drag it back towards the rest of the band. "Speech"

A disgruntled noise left his throat the instant he saw who’d he come to help. Kaino. In that moment he wished so desperately he had stayed up on that boulder. Watched from a distance of her demise. It wasn’t as if he disliked her. However, that didn’t mean he liked her either. There was a strong love/hate when it came to the woman alone. Her endless picking on Cifarelli’s nerves over the years left something within him that he could not seem to let go. He could mess with her all day. Anyone else? He’d present their head on a silver platter without hesitance. "I could have left your ass to deal with it alone." His words were sharp with a warning snap of teeth t’wards her face. Shaking his head at how she dragged the kill. Dirtying up most of the carcass alone. He didn’t say anything further as he shouldered her out the way. Taking the animal’s neck and walking without a single misstep. Did the others know of Kai’s return? Had they chosen not to tell him for a reason? Either way, he raised a brow in a playful banter. Lightly hitting her with his tail as he passed. "Speaks"
