Corbie was on her way to meet with a trader about expanding her flock into a new breed. Tam and Ren both accompanied her, Tam for his even greater experience with sheep than her and Ren to guard. She had already negotiated a price for the sheep, so they would be driving them back together if they met expectations. It'd be an overnight just to get there, though, and another back, so she had brought what they needed for a rough but comfortable camp - bedrolls laid around a small fire, a kettle steaming quietly for tea. Nothing they couldn't carry on their backs without a travois to slow them down. They'd stopped while there was still light to set up, so it was still civil twilight as she and Tam and Ayer stretched out on their bedrolls to watch the fire and wait for the tea. Ren was out keeping watch and collecting twigs for the fire. Corbie came suddenly alert though, when she heard pawsteps approaching from the opposite direction the big guardian dog had disappeared in. She pricked her ears forward, her body language open and friendly despite the surprise.

Oki's body language was always laid back and chill. If Hattori had a stick up his arse then Oki had carved his own stick into a spear and yeeted it out of sight and mind. Catching the scent of a couple of hounds, Oki found himself ambling towards the flicking orange of a campfire. Not many folks camped these days, hell from experience he reckoned most wolves just sort of bunkered down after a while. Their corner of the world was where they wanted to be, and all.

"Yo." He greeted once he deemed himself close enough, didn't barrel right in as it was tempting to. He had a few scraps of manners left in him. "Mind if I join ya?" If he was told to sod off he would, maybe with a quip or two but he wasn't here to rain on anyone's parade.

It certainly hadn't been the first time the comfort and safety of a camp had drawn in a stranger, and Corbie wasn't worried as she glanced towards the voice calling out asking if he could join her. "Please, feel free," she invited him with a polite smile. She pulled an extra hide out of a bedroll and set it beside the fire for the stranger - it would be rude to be laying comfortably on a dry bed while expecting a guest to lay upon cold wet ground. She tilted her head as she studied the other wolf's face, slightly puzzled by the vague sense of familiarity she got from him. "I'm Corbie Silverwind. My friends, Tam and Ayer." She indicated the collie and the kinkajou in turn. "There will be tea soon, if you would like some."
