Of course she hadn’t meant for this to happen. She was frustrated and angry. It wouldn’t be the first time she’d given birth but this time she probably had to put extra effort into not killing the things. So she’d sought out a portion of the woods that was hopefully as private as she could get. Part of her hoping req was nearby after all she had half a mind to leave the whelps here if she could. She had been alone when her labor started, not long after two whelps had popped out. Well she could certainly tell who the father was despite her sleeping around so much. Guess the king would be glad they weren’t his.

She obeyed her instincts however, letting the two little bundles cozy up to her and begin nursing. So that would be that. She’d wait until they were weaned, maybe she could use them as an excuse to protect herself. Ruby imp stared at the two. She felt no want for them, but here they were so she would have to make due.
