This place was truly something he hadn't quite seen before. The dog, for the most part, had always lived in Auster and had never stepped foot on this side of The Bifrost before. It wasn't until circumstances at home that he was forced to go, and now here he was. The sun was beginning to set by the time he made it to the woods, and while there was a chill in the air, the male was still getting used to the temperature and seasonal differences. While it was Spring in Auster, here was...different. The trees he had passed were changing color and giving way to Fall. Strange. He slowed to a stop beneath a tree, cautious of his surroundings. Ears perked to listen. Gaze slowly roaming the area to check all was safe. Perhaps he'd bed down here for the night...though his grumbling belly would beg to differ when he realized he hadn't eaten in a while...perhaps it'd be a good start to see what these lands had to offer. What packs were around. The wolves and creatures that inhabited this side of the water. He didn't trust many, if at all. Didn't know what to expect out here, but he'd find out eventually, he was sure.

Modesty was still scouting out potential lands to expand into. The willows were close to the plains, which would be a direct barge or swim across from Daager Isle. The plains offered ample grazing opportunity if they chose to go more into cattle, and the willows had a certain whimsy about them. While the healers might be happy to have a ready access to the bark and she was sure the kids would love popping in and out of the circular canopies.

In her distraction, she didn't notice the wolfdog until she was almost on top of him. Pausing mid stride, her brows drew down in question as she tried to wrap her head around what wasn't quite expected (since Jael had fallen into her life, these half-breeds seemed to be popping out of the woodwork). Modesty shook out her surprise and allowed her tail to wave loosely at her back. If he'd meant her harm, there had been plenty of time before now while she was distracted. “New around here?”

“Speech.”
