Nelu fitted his armor, adjusting the straps with Samiri's help. Today he decided to head out to the boneyard to do some training and see if he could find an opponent to spar against. While his primary focus was working as a scholar for the Hallows he didn't want to let his battle skills get too rusty. As far as he knew things had been smoothed over with the raiders but that didn't mean that the Hallows was invincible, that there wasn't any other packs out there that might consider raiding them. He left the castle and headed out, finding himself a good spot before he tipped back his head and called for an opponent.

Jynn settled into Auster, finding a good spot in the Grapevine Cathedral to call her temporary home, at least for now. Deciding she need to keep herself in shape she headed to the Boneyard to see if she could pick up a spar. Originally she planned to send out her own summons but as luck would have it she heard a call ring out just as she arrived. Jynn switched course and arrived to see a very tall yearling. Jynn dipped her head in greeting. "Hello there. I'll spar you."

She faced off against the yearling and set her defenses, giving him a nod to let him know she was ready and that he had the first move.

Nelu stretched and prepared himself for the fight ahead. Regardless of who answered his call it was guaranteed to be a learning experience. He had just finished rolling his shoulders when a scrawny woman approached, a maned wolf. She agreed to spar him and he nodded his acceptance before setting his defenses. It seemed he was being given the first move and he charged forward, seeking to come at her head on. He lifted his forelegs, seeking to wrap them around the base of her neck, aiming to let his weight push forward and down to try and force her to either bear the majority of his weight or collapse beneath it. At the same time his jaws darted forward and down, seeking to catch her scruff.

Jynn readied herself, making sure to pin her large ears as tight to her head as possible. That was the downside of having radar dishes on ones head. She chuckled in excitement. The boy launched himself toward her and as he lifted his upper body to try and wrap his arms around her she darted down and forward, seeking to get beneath him. Her jaws flew open, aiming for his abdomen, just past his sternum. As she moved she felt his fangs graze the middle of her back but it wasn't enough to stop her. She wanted to see how quickly she could end this fight.

Nelu made sure to keep his defenses set, especially protecting his mid section with his tail. It was a good thing to, for the swift woman dove beneath him. His arms missed wrapping around the base of her neck and he instead adjusted seeking to wrap them around her waist just in front of her hips. He aimed to let his chest fall across her back, hoping his added weight would slow her down. He felt fangs pierce into the thick fur of his abdomen, puncturing his flesh. Nelu's jaws sought to grasp the woman's back, just in front of her hips. At the same time he let his hind legs fold seeking to drop all his weight onto her.

Jynn felt the rush of success as her fangs seized their intended target, latching onto the boy's abdomen. From there she wasn't entirely sure. This was a spar after all, she didn't want to do too much damage, but before she could readjust her attack she felt the boy's arms wrap around her waist, his teeth digging into her back. Then sudden his weight was on her and it took all her strength to keep from being pinned to the ground. Eager to get him off, she let go over her hold and instead darted her head forward for the inside of his left thigh, seeking to shred the tender flesh. At the same time she did her best to kick forward, hoping to push that hind leg off the ground. Then with only one leg on the ground she had a chance to topple him onto his side and be free at the same time.
