Blood stained teeth and lips split into a triumphant smile as the svelte, lavender and smoke fae crept through the forest of red trees. Kaino was tracking, hunting, planning her kill. A trail of red, deeper russet than the leaves of the trees, marked her path. The young buck had been injured, one hind leg mangled. A three-legged deer could still run, but not for long. A deer didn't have the stamina of a wolf. Not by a long shot. Kai would run it down until it died or gave up.

Up above, muted sunlight filtered down through the foliage, dappling the leaf-strewn ground in puddles of gold. A pretty enough day, but there was no time for sight seeing. Kaino had to be vigilant in her pursuit, else someone might snatch her dinner right out from beneath her pretty pink nose. The crash of brush up ahead brought smokey ears swiveling and Kai increased her speed. Mint and ice eyes rested upon the form of the fallen buck. He'd had enough. His body had given out. Dead and he didn't even know it.

With the ungulate laying prone in a lake of red leaves, it would be easy for the Saxe fae to deliver the killing blow. The sides of the buck heaved, its nostrils flaring and eyes going wide as the slender wolf came into view. It struggled, but it was to no avail. With practiced ease, Kaino ducked beneath the bucks chin, jaws locking around its throat. The deer gave little fight and, once it accepted its fate, died quickly. Once dispatched, Kai gave a husky little laugh and sprawled on the soft blanket of red leaves beside the deer. A little breather would be nice before she ate lunch.

"Speech"

As Caladrius was exploring the new territory around him, all of a sudden, his keen senses went into high alert as he heard what sounded like the death of a young buck, quickly followed by a hint of metallic tang. The scent of blood lingered in the air, mingling with the earthy aroma of fallen leaves and the faint hint of lavender carried on the breeze. With each careful step, he followed the trail of crimson, his eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of movement. In the distance, he caught sight of a slender, unknown figure, her form illuminated by dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy above. As he carefully approached, he made his presence known as both a sign of respect and a gesture of goodwill that he is no threat, ensuring not to startle her in her moment of tranquility. "Speech"

As Kai lay there all languid and comfy, a new presence entered the scene. The woman lifted her head from its leafy pillow, mint and ice eyes falling upon the form of a rather large brute. He was CHOCOLATE IN COLOR. Markings of cyan lined his body in cuts and stripes. An impressive figure, to be sure. He hadn't made an attempt to hide his presence but still, the playful little Saxe couldn't help herself.

"A voyeur, are you? Just watching a lady rest without saying a word." Kaino clicked her tongue, giving her delicate skull a shake of disapproval. "Not very gentlemanly," she crooned in a sing-song voice. A moment later, the slender fae rolled to her paws, her front half dipping low in a long stretch while her bobbed tail flicked in the air. "Looking for a snack?" She asked as she settled onto her haunches. The woman's eyes blinked innocently. "Not me. The deer." Such a brat.

As Caladrius observed the scene that was unfolding before him, he took in the sight of the playful fae, lounging around the tranquility of the forest. Her playful banter danced through the air and with a silent chuckle he stepped forward, his chocolate-colored fur blending seamlessly with the tones of the forest floor."Merely an admirer of beauty" he replied, his voice a low rumble, with a hint of amusement. "But it seems I've stumbled upon more than just a resting lady." His gaze lingered on the beautiful markings that adorned her form, a striking contrast against her lavender-hued fur. As she stretched and addressed him with a mischievous glint in her eyes, Caladrius couldn't help but be drawn in by her playful energy. "A snack, you say?" a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. "Maybe I could be persuaded to join in the hunt, if you'd have me." With a playful flick of his tail, he settled onto his haunches, his gaze locked with hers in a silent challenge. In this wild and untamed world, Caladrius found himself captivated by the spirited fae before him. "Speech"

Instant intrigue flared through Kaino as the earthen brute began to banter back and forth with her. He wanted to play. He actually wanted to play! And it seemed as though he was flirting with her. Even better! The amaranthine fae knew that she was pretty but it was nice to hear it from someone other than Nila. Kai gave an appreciative wag of her fluffy little bunny tail and her grin widened.

The brute seated himself, commenting about joining the hunt. Kaino gestured to the dead buck beside her. "A woman provides as a woman should." It was her duty and honor to feed the pack, among other things. "As far as joining the hunt..." Kaino's naturally husky tones were tinged with a playful sultriness. "What makes you think that you wouldn't be the prey?" Kai gave a cute little tilt of her head, one brow rising in question.

"Kaino Saxe"

The brute chuckled, a deep rumble that resonated through the clearing. "Bold words," he replied, his eyes glinting with amusement. "But can you back them up?" His challenge hung in the air as he winked back "Speech"
