V o o d o o The sun just poked above the fields in the distance. She fluffed herself up against the chilly morning wind while she sought out a good vantage point. Voodoo felt like she would be spending a lot more time in these parts considering her new ambitions. She hadn’t felt so motivated in her whole life! Her son was with her, while her daughters sought their own paths. Voodoo grinned at the thought, maybe she would get more out there. There was only one way to go from here and it was up. No matter how many times she lost, or how many times she would win. Raising her head she threw back a call, time for a little bit of fun under the sunrise. Let her challenger be a good one if any.

It'd been a long while since Veigar had done any proper training, and with things changing within Insomnia he thought it time he ought to really climb out of the shadows. At least with Medusa ruling he'd felt like he had a place here, felt he'd really earned a spot among his packmates, though with things changing he was fearful his merits might not be seen so clearly. Not that he really believed in himself - but if he pretended he did, at least he could convince others, right?

His raven companion soared overhead, no doubt keeping an eye on his journey. It took far longer for him to get to the battlefield than it would most wolves, his movements careful, always stopping to examine his surroundings as best as he could. Once he drew closer, he heard a call summoning someone to spar them. As quickly as he could he moved to answer them, his head only half-lifted when he finally approached.

His hazy eyes were unfocused, though he always sought to give the illusion that he did not lack sight. His nostrils flared as he tasted the stranger's scent, trying to figure out what he could about them... which wasn't much at all. But he'd figure it out as he went, he always did. "Let's fight," he stated, as much a question as anything else, as he prepared himself - settling into a more defensive stance, clearly inviting the stranger to initiate.

V o o d o o It didn’t take long before her call went answered. She was excited, after all it meant she didn’t have to wait. Her tail rose to align with her spine as she looked her opponent over. She was not observant enough, to her he seemed regular but then again many whome she knew were strange. He got straight to the point and for Voodoo that was more than enough encouragement. She watched him set his defenses nodding her head before she began her offense. Voodoo charged him head on, veering only slightly to the left while she aimed to collide her right shoulder with her opponent. Her ears pinned to the back of her head, eyes narrowing down to slits. While her toes spread in the terrain her jaws opened. Voodoo aimed to bite at the left side of veigars face. They weren’t too different in size, voodoo felt the adrenaline beginning to pump through her. She just hoped this would be a good spar. Letting another wolf initiate a fight sometimes seemed like a safer bet than doing it himself, even if he couldn't quite anticipate their movements. It was all he could do to hunker down, limbs spread evenly for balance and ears flattening against his skull, as he waited for the stranger to strike. He couldn't tell which direction she might be coming from, so he tried to ready himself for any and all possibilities.

Instead of being struck straight on, she veered slightly to his right side, shoulder colliding hard with his own. It wasn't enough to send him toppling over but enough to disrupt his balance slightly, and he found himself sliding backwards. Not wanting to pull too far away from his opponent, he kept his weight leaning forward, enough to feel teeth coming down on his face - which caused him to flinch away from her instinctively.

Giving his head a good hard shake, possibly causing some damage to himself if she decided to bite down harder, he only pulled away from her for a moment before aiming to strike. His jaws parted, weight shifting forward as he aimed to bite back, hoping to direct it where her snout was.
