Barghest padded through the underbrush of the willows, the rustle of vine-like branches and leaves the only ambiance among the calls of birds and distant creature noises. Or at least, it was, until the peace was interrupted by a deep, guttural growl. She halted, her ears perking up, alert to the warning of another being. It wanted her to know it was there, even if she hadn’t seen or heard or smelled it first. No ambush? What was it playing at? Emerging from the dense foliage, a massive gorilla lumbered into view. His fur was a rich shade of black, his muscles rippling beneath the surface. A silver splash of fur along its back. She paused, aqua eyes intensely focused on one thing. The look in his eyes – a fierce glint of hatred.

Unfazed by the gorilla's imposing presence, Barghest held her ground, her own instincts tingling with caution. It was bigger. Much bigger than her. She was on her toes, ears flattening as she watched the gorilla advance, his steps heavy and deliberate. Damn.

As the gorilla drew nearer, his intentions unmistakably clear, Barghest bristled, her hackles rising in defiance. With a low growl rumbling in her throat, she bared her teeth, warning the gorilla to back off. For the first and last time. But he paid her no heed.

Estie liked to follow Nimue when she traveled. So today, Nimue figured, why not do the same to her? Staying in the shadows, she stalked the larger girl all the way down south, marching into a massive forest covered in weeping willow trees. An array of aviary noises echoed through the forest, the occasional croak of an amphibian joining in. So far there wasn’t anything of interest. So why the hell did Estie come here?

But the tranquility wouldn’t last long. A low, guttural growl resonated from the underbrush, a massive gorilla emerging to challenge Estie. Nimue stayed behind for a few moments, watching to see if this would turn into a fight. Estie was snarling at it, standing her ground but the gorilla was strong in its resolve, refusing to yield. Anticipation started to swell inside of Nimue, festering into anxiety as she felt the danger radiating off the beast. It was far scarier than a hippo or elephant.

Moving forward, Nimue emerges from the underbrush and stands beside Estie, snarling alongside her to signify their strength in numbers.

"Nimue Vasanti"

With an explosive burst of energy, Cadaver lunged forward, the large brute barreling towards the gorilla. His massive form seemed to stretch as he closed the gap with haste. He had no intention of allowing the girl to fight this beast alone. She couldn’t have all the fun. His jaws parted, releasing a menacing guttural growl that echoed through the silent wilderness - a stark challenge hanging heavy in the air; a promise of imminent bloodshed. And without a second thought, he hit the beast with splayed jaws in the back of its leg. He tore at its flesh, his teeth gnashing against muscle and bone as he sought to cripple the beast with as much tenacity as he could offer.



"Cadaver Nightwing"

Exploring is dangerous business, and Iscariot is coming to learn that over and over. Sure, everything wants to at least try to eat you when you're smaller and probably harder to hit. But there were worse things than just being eaten... worse things that she was now face to face with, coming around a corner within the woods. She knows it's out here, but just how close? Maybe that was a little startling. Gorilla. And a big one at that, fuck. Converging on the thing, moths to a flame, Iscariot isn't the only one. Flanking the beast, coming in on the support, there's a brilliance. An excitement to her, as she lunges for the other hind leg. Sinking her teeth in with a snarl, keeping low to the ground.

Her face off is joined by Nimue at her side, offering her own warnings to the beast as it encroaches on their space. Then all at once there is action. The boy, the split faced one that reminded her of her father barrels in, his teeth sinking into the gorilla as it released a screeching roar of sorts. Barghest is swift in joining him, his large body offering an even bigger distraction in the fact of the ebony beast. She lunged for an arm, a hand – catching a wrist and tugging it. She seeks to take away mobility, or slice a tendon with her teeth in the process.

That damn boy showed up again, interrupting their stand-off with the gorilla and attacking the damn thing. Was he fucking crazy? A sharp snarl bubbled from Nimue, her eyes narrowing at the male as she watched him launch himself at the beast. He grabbed it by the leg, tearing into it’s with his sharp teeth to create a mess of sinew.

And there’s that small girl again. Lunging forward, mimicking Cadaver and grabbing its other leg. Estie joins in too, and Nimue follows beside her, lunging for the opposing arm. She grabs onto its bicep area, and sinks her teeth in deep, attainting a firm hold.

"Nimue Vasanti"

The beast recoiled, its guttural cries echoing through the wilderness as he felt multiple sets of teeth sink into him. Cadaver’s jaws locked tight into the gorilla's flesh, his snarls drowned by the chaos ensuing around him. He couldn’t help but enjoy the taste of this battle.

Then, a sudden wild swing of a beefy arm made Cadaver stagger a step back, blood - hot and coppery - painting his tongue. But his resolve didn't falter; he was not one to back down easily. As if in retaliation, he launched himself once more at the gorilla with increased vehemence, his powerful form seeming even more imposing as he twisted, trying to drag the beast down with sheer brute force. His mind was a swirl of exhilaration and anticipation, the thrill of battle coursing through his veins like wildfire.

"Cadaver Nightwing"

The gorilla seems to understand, in that moment, that it fights for its life. Iscariot digs in even harder, lunging once, twice, again and again at its heels. Snapping and snarling, true savagery coming alive. Shining and brilliant in the moment, absolutely relentless. For as much as the beast would try and reach around and grab them, Iscariot bares down even harder. Ripping and tearing, content to cripple the beast from the heels up. Something that Achilles would be well and fearful of, her teeth rip and shred, sinking into the beast with a giggle. Oops. Can't keep that locked up too long, otherwise she'll bubble over. Release the tension, but do not release your quarry. Iscariot bites.

The gorilla pulls its arm, trying to dislodge her as she knew it would. Its teeth snap at her face, and she is quick to avoid the strike. She leaps back, watching as its now free arm swings and strikes Cadaver. Damn. She rushes back in, going for the throat this time. She is not big, but she has the talons to grapple and sink into its collar as she strikes. Barghest tears, ignoring its attempts to beat her off – she is locked in.

It only helps that Cadaver is now tugging the beast down, dragging it across the ground as she retains her hold.

The moment he felt the beast's weight shifting, he knew that his plan was working. The gorilla was losing its balance under the combined force of their attacks, and victory seemed to be within their grasp. His heart pounded with adrenaline as he tightened his hold around the gorilla, his muscles straining against the hefty beast.

All at once, the sounds of snarls and roars were replaced with a gasp for air as Estie latched onto its throat. It was a perfect strategy; one that Cadaver admired. She held on with a tenacity that impressed him, even amidst this chaos. Seeing an opening, Cadaver lunged for the gorilla's side, his teeth sinking deep into the muscular flesh there. He tugged hard, ignoring the pain that shot through him as the beast bucked and tried to dislodge them. Victory was in sight, and Cadaver could almost taste it.

"Cadaver Nightwing"

Working in tandem, each wolf was doing their part to wear the gorilla down. It wad a formidable foe, a massive beast packed with muscular firepower. It could crush their skulls clean in with a few slams of its fists. But Nimue was out of that line of fire, for now. Having grabbed onto its bicep, holding on for dear life, being flung around just like she was with the elephant. But with Cadaver holding it back, Estie grabbing it by the throat and Riot jumping in and out to steal bites, it was starting to fumble. Its movements slowed, blood splattering onto the woodland floor, tainting the earth in its life source. Soon, it would fall to its knees.

"Nimue Vasanti"

The beast teeters on its feet, looking worse by the minute. Iscariot is relentless, she can't help it. It's probably not a matter of survival anymore, but one of practice. There's something vicious welling up inside her, something violent, something scary. As scary as you can be, when most companions are bigger. Something about the size of the fight in the dog, not dog in the fight. It could apply to Riot just as easily. With a vicious snarl, she sinks her teeth heartily into the gorilla. Watching it stagger and finally tumble to the ground, succumbing to its wounds. No more fists, no more fight. Covered in blood and panting, Iscariot stumbles back. Fuck, why's it gotta be so nasty?
