Kyanite hadn’t gone much further than the ship. Perhaps she should have, with the stink of the Armada not far away. She heard the calls of their shiny new Alpha every now and then, and wanted to punch something. The break in her leg had been so bad that it still wasn’t quite right.
She’d gone hunting, and had been forced to return empty handed when the storm started to blow in. she was stomping off the snow, and hadn’t been in long when a voice called out to her. She turned to the door, which she had foolishly left open. A low growl left her throat. She sampled the air, but all she could detect was the chill of the cold. If this was an Armada wolf… “Closed for business!” She snarled.

The growl in the old ship grew the closer the stranger came. Until it was reverberating off the walls, her warnings ignored as the wolf barged his way in. His words told her plenty, he wasn’t going to be pleasant company. Well, if he expected her to play nice, he was going to be in for a shock.
He barged his way into her temporary home, and she pushed her eye mask up a little further, careful to keep her gaze away from the snow. Thanks to the storm, it wasn’t bright out. But she’d learnt her lesson in the past, and didn’t trust any light that bounced off the white expanse. “Get out. Go away. If you want company, there's a warm and cuddly pack just a land over.” Ha! Take that Basilisk. Why not send him an asshole wolf to deal with.

Oh, he knew just how to push her buttons, didn’t he? He should go find that pack. Him and Basilisk could be best friends forever bosom buddies. “My problem” She growled slowly. As if he was hard of hearing. “Is asshole wolves who think they should control everything. Who barge in where they don’t belong and think they own the place.”
He sure fit that bill, him and Basilisk both. If her leg was just a little stronger… actually, fuck it. If he took another step, she was going for the throat. Half blind and lame or not, she would show him what regret felt like.

What? How was he being controlling? If anything, she was the one acting out of place, making what ought to be a minor inconvenience into another beast entirely. He would have left, sought shelter somewhere else if he had the choice, but in the dead of winter in these conditions? Yeah, no. He moved then, sensed she was in one dark room so he moved to claim another of his own. It took his eyes a moment to adjust, saw the furniture strewn all over the place as if flung from its original spot by the waves. Before the ice had claimed the ship, sealed it in place, till one day it would inevitably sink beneath the surface.
Pushing the mangled remains of a table out of the way, he found a gathering of blankets and towels, someone had used them as a makeshift nest before, it would have to do for now.
"Just shut up. " He grumbled, because she was still complaining.
