She was glad that deciding to stay with Requiem had not really impacted her ability to continue her explorations of Boreas. It seemed like as long as she kept him "entertained"–which was plenty entertaining for herself so it was hardly a chore–then he was more than willing to go wherever she wanted to go and he kept her fed to boot. It was a pretty good arrangement as far as she was concerned. It was pretty late at night and they had settled into a small den in the prairie for the night after a day of wandering. With has much physical activity as she had that day one would think that she'd be able to fall asleep without issue, but tonight seemed to be a more difficult one on that front. She laid there curled up into Req's side for a while, but eventually she got restless and carefully slipped away to see if a walk would help clear her head and finally tire her out enough to pass out.

She ventured down along the river toward the shore, finding herself on a blackened beach. The color of the sand was interesting, but the cave that she found off of that beach was far more curious to her. She stepped up to the jagged mouth of the large cave, squinting as she peeked inside. It was pitch black inside so it was difficult to see. She had never really explored many caves and had only ever used smaller once for shelter when she needed to so figuring out how to check out this area was going to be a new challenge for her. However, just as she was tossing around the idea of going to find firewood to either make a campfire or a torch–or both–she noticed a sliver of moonlight starting to peek through from somewhere up above. She blinked with surprise and stepped further in, tipping her head up to watch as an opening in the ceiling began to line up perfectly with where the moon was overhead.

As the opening became eclipsed with moonlight it allowed her to see the space much more clearly and as she looked around her two-toned gaze widened with surprise as she breathed a soft 'wow' at the gleaming, multi-colored stones that made up the entire surface of the cave. She never would have known if it hadn't been for the well timed moonlight! She had to assume that the light it was providing was going to be on a very limited time basis as the moon continued to move across the sky so she began to quickly take a closer look at the cavern. She certainly didn't want to get stuck at the back of this thing when the moon moved on and cast this place back into darkness. That was just asking for her to cut her paw on a sharp stone she couldn't see or something of that sort. It was a beautiful location and she made a mental note of where it was so that she could revisit it again. Maybe she'd even bring Requiem with her next time.
