Ludovic prowled through the Sound’s forest, the sun casting dappled shadows on his fiery red and monochrome fur. His mismatched eyes scanned the underbrush for any sign of his brother. Blue was hard to miss, even if it was no longer purely ivory snow all around them.

Eventually, he spotted a familiar silhouette moving through the brush. Ludo’s lips curled into a confident smirk as he approached his brother from behind. A slow, steady stalk. His charcoal tail flicking out behind him as he crept up closer and closer. He didn’t want to pounce on Xairo, just give him a little sweet nothing in his ear. Not yet… not yet… now.

“Xairo,” Ludovic whispered once he thought he was close enough without being noticed, his voice tinged with amusement and impish amusement. “I've been looking for you.” Boys will be boys, right?

Xairo jolted at the sudden voice, his disheveled fur standing on end. His piercing green eyes whirled in surprise, head swinging around to find his brother grinning mischievously at him. Xairo growled, posturing himself into a defensive stance, but the twinkle in Ludo's eyes immediately stilled him. He knew that look; it was akin to the spark of a fire, a signal of the mischief that would soon follow.

"Ludo," Xairo snarled, a playful undertone seeping into his tone as he feigned annoyance. His fluffy tail swished against the forest floor, “You’re lucky I didn’t bite your head off! And just for that! I might do it anyways.” He paused for a moment, letting the mock threat hang in the air between them, before his own lips curled into a grin to mirror his brother's- muscles tensing in preparation for what was about to come.

"Xairo Saxe"

Ludovic's chuckle echoed through the clearing, his smirk growing wider at Xairo’s playful threat. His mismatched eyes — one emerald, the other a fiery crimson — sparkled with excitement as he relished the moment. The air was fresh around them, and he sucked down a deep gulp.

“Haha!” His laugh was a melodic mix of teasing and amusement. “You can try!”

As he slipped into his defensive stance, his muscles tensed, small yet powerful, coiling with anticipation. His charcoal tail flicked behind him, an unmistakable signal of his readiness to engage.

With a mischievous gleam in his eyes, he goaded his brother on, the intensity of his gaze challenging Xairo without a word. His rump wiggled playfully in the air before he launched himself forward with swiftness. Ludovic aimed a headbutt at his brother, a blur of fur and muscle in motion, determined to meet the playful threat head-on.

Hoping to try and grind his nubby horns into the effort of his headbutt. The impact was jarring, but he got a sense of satisfaction knowing he caused the same sensation to Ludo. “You don’t want to play that game with me, brother.” He answered in dry humor.

He shook his head, clearing the lingering dizziness from the headbutt, and stepped back to regain his footing. Without waiting for a response, he lunged forward again, this time aiming to sweep Xairo’s legs out from under him.
