Festival Meeting/Ceremony

As the festival had continued over the morning, Corbie had watched the sun with one corner of her attention even as she mingled with the pack to make sure that everyone would be fed, given drinks, taken care of, enjoying themselves to the best of her ability to help them do so. Now, though, she saw the sun had reached its peak for the day, and she carefully made her way to the sun-filled side of the barn near the fire pit, now only barely showing flame in deference to the day's warmth. She howled first to gather those who'd wandered from the barn or not come in that morning and to catch the attention of those who were there, and waited for them to gather for a quick meeting before the festivities would continue.

Álarr had eaten his fill of breakfast at the morning ceremony then set out to check on how Ulmaria and Stjarna were faring. Later as the sun climbed to its apex in the sky he returned for the mid-day ceremony. Leaving his pack with Ulmaria he headed back to the barn with Afi riding upon his back. The pallas cat lay stretched out on his belly, limbs hanging limply along the wolf's sides. Above them Brynhildr soared through the air, her pale plumage seeming to glow in the sunlight.
He dipped his head in greeting to Corbie and then took his place by the fire. As he moved to sit he swiftly crouched and twisted, sending the cat screeching off. "Flea-bitten beast!" Afi hissed as he strode back over to Álarr, fur bristled. "Is that any way to treat an old friend?"
Álarr snorted. "I could say the same. I am not your personal transportation."

He was enjoying the festivities, he had to admit. It was nice mingling with the wolves, seeing how everyone interacted and the faces he wasn't wholly acquainted with. Many kept to themselves here, and yet, they still worked together to keep the wheels turning within Avalon. He wanted to try and do more, however, whether it be mentoring one of the pups, or tending to the lands beyond their borders to make them suitable for potential claim. Regardless of his role here, he would do what he could to make life a little easier. A little better. Fighting and defending the pack against enemies, helping the others, tending to the flocks and herds they had. When Corbie called for a quick meeting, he left his post within the barn and made his way to her, dipping his head to both her and Alarr in greeting, curious what she had to say.
