Goodbye is a luxury few can afford

It was really only sheer dumb luck that had Hag seeking out the one friend she'd made within the pack. She'd been about to wander away, following a moth she'd spotted when she realized she hadn't said anything to well... Anyone but with her sister distant and her uncle (still didn't really get that) also harder to track down she decided if anyone was going to know it would be Red.

Not that Hag was really trying to leave per se, more that she didn't have anything tethering her here. No reason to keep making the trek back when the sun started to rise from wandering out beyond their borders. She simply wanted to be able to go where her heart willed without having to consider if someone was worried for her or not... Not that the thought would likely cross her mind much.

So that's what drew Hag out of the den her family has shared, during daytime to skirt into the blessed cool and darkness of the cave system. The place she'd first met the boy in question. And that was about as far as her planning went. If she didn't find him after idly wandering for a bit she'd probably just brush the idea off and head out.
