In my mind.
Atreyu with mentions of Oath.
Fairytale had been on a sea-saw with her emotions about the masculine known as Oath Morningstar. He was strong were she was weaker. She was stronger were the male was weaker. Leveling each other out in all the right areas. But a sense of speaking with his sister Atreyu needed to happen. She needed too know where the woman stood if things would happen between the newcomer and her brother. The yearling wandered to were she had figured she could meet with Atreyu, but the woman wasn't around. Her head lifted up to allow a song to play forth. Hopefully Atreyu wouldn't be too pissed off at the girl but accepting.
Her heart slammed with each second that passed by. She was scared of what could come of this meeting. What if Atreyu did not approve? What if no one approved? What if Oath didn't feel the same way she was feeling for him. As she sat there waiting, her stomach in knots. Feeling as though she would be sick any moment, allowing her paws to sink more into the ground below her. Ugh, how would she go about explaining how she felt? How would anyone take it? What if Oath was already spoken for?
No, Fairytale couldn't think like that. Not right now. Not ever!
When she arrived, Atreyu could tell that something had Fairytale nervous as all hell. It was in the way she held herself, the flash of those pretty pink eyes. Atreyu felt her brow furrow and her ears perk toward Fairytale, concern written all over Atreyu's delicate features. Holographic eyes swept quickly over Fairytale, looking for any clue as to why her fellow yearling would be so nervous. "Hello, Fairytale, is everything alright?" She gave a reassuring smile, hoping that everything was indeed alright.

The young woman wasn't waiting long before the woman came into view. Fairytale gave a light wave of her tail behind her, as a gulp of air was taken. Trying to subdue the knots, which it helped once in a while as Fairytale began to relax. Knowing that she could trust Atreyu actually appeared to put the younger girl at ease. Who wouldn't be scared to admit their feelings? How would one go about admitting their feelings about another? Especially to a family member? But here she was, facing something so unknown to her. Never feeling this way about another before. It was all new, these feelings were so damn new for Fairytale.
When Atreyu spoke out, Fairytale allowed her paws to nervously dance in front of herself. But the thoughts of a possible future with Oath helped ease the yearlings mind. So taking a deep breath - Fairytale began. Maybe Atreyu would understand. Hoping that the woman did. And accepted what Fairytale would say.
"Atreyu, everything is well. I want to come clean about something." She swallowed hard for air, feeling as if she could collapse right then and there. "I think I love your brother. I've never felt this feeling before, it's all new. And I'm scared," She admitted before continuing. "not for the fact that I love him, but what about you and the others. Am I worthy enough for him? Do you hate me for feeling this way about your brother?"
Fairytale honestly hoped that Atreyu wouldn't hate her at all but accept the fact that she was in love with Atreyu's brother. "I'm scared to tell him how I feel. I don't even know where I stand with him. Is it alright to feel so strong for someone you've only just meant? Am I ...." Her voice was shaky as she spoke. Turning to face the ground, to try and hide the fear.

Reaching out with a gloved paw, Atreyu attempts to pull Fairytale's chin up so that their eyes can meet once again. Once she had the pink gaze of Fairytale aligned with the holographic silver-to-lavender of her own, Atreyu gave a reassuring smile. With a great amount of warmth in her sweet voice, Atreyu spoke in a careful way, almost diplomatic. "My dear Fairytale, it makes my heart sing to know you feel the way you do about my brother! Too soon is up to you, though. Who gets to tell the heart how to feel? Mainyu knew what she was doing, trust in her and in Oath. He has never looked at another the way he looks at you, to my knowledge." This could only be the hand of the goddess of love at work, there was simply no other explanation. When you could feel the gods' touch, the fingerprint was unmistakable.

The woman felt that of her friends paw looking towards Atreyu now, she listened to the woman close to her age spoke out. Her words kind and gentle to Fairytale's twin peaks. She was thankful to have Atreyu as a friend. "Atreyu, it makes me pleased to know you do not hate me for feeling the way I am for your brother. And I don't think anyone can stop the heart from feeling the way that it does."
The girl began to wonder who this Mainyu was, Atreyu spoke of wisdom and kindness. And it made her blush although you couldn't really see it when Atreyu stated that he never looked at another the way Oath did with Fairytale. What made her so special? "Atreyu, who is Mainyu? And I trust in Oath so much, maybe it's just fear due to never feeling this way before?" Fairy known that Atreyu wouldn't ever steer Fairytale wrong.
Fairytale went on to ask about Mainyu, forcing another smile to those delicately beautiful features of Atreyu. She admitted that she was afraid because she had never felt this way, and Atreyu could understand. She had the same feelings about her betrothal and growing emotions for Azriel, though she kept them to herself for now. This was Fairytale's turn, Atreyu could freak out about her own upcoming wedding when the time came, though it was a while off yet. "Mainyu is our goddess of love and many other things. She tends to pull hearts together with the strings of fate for reasons often unknown, but she always knows what she's doing. I know it is new, but it is exciting, is it not?" With a giggle, Atreyu briefly touched her paw to Fairytale's cheek, "Fear not, Fairy, I bet he feels the same." They would just need to talk about it between the two of them, Atreyu was excited by the idea, but she wouldn't intervene when Mainyu was working.

How in the world did Fairytale become so lucky to have such a kind hearted loving friend on her side. That appeared to support her with everything that she was? Not only her but all of her friends and family. The excitement was truly there for the both of them, completely happy with her ownself that she was able to talk about her feelings for Oath, and how his sister thought the same thing. She smiled brightly to her best friend.
"I thank you Atreyu. You are my dearest friend and someone that I look up too." The words that fell from Fairytale were never of lies but of truth. It made her heart flutter to be dead serious. "Mainyu, seems to know what she is doing then. I've never felt this way before. And it's just so much to worry about. It feels like I could honestly trust him with everything. Just like I can with you. I will put my trust into what Mainyu is doing." She smiled. Hoping that Atreyu was right, that Oath did feel the same way about her.
