There was a mixture of impulses that brought Citadel to the very strange creature walking slowly through the Plateau. He felt in that moment that he had a lot to prove, and he needed the distraction that a puzzling hunt would bring him. He watched as it reached up (and up, and up) with its long neck and snagged some grassy leaves from the tallest portion of a tree. Strange indeed.
He backed up a little and set out a chuffed call, looking for others that might be interested in the odd hunt. He did glance in the vague direction of the Armada. Hoping no one… from his old pack would hear the call.

Inferna had been wandering far from the comfort of everything she knew as of late, her young paws carrying her into the southern lands of Boreas. The first thing she noticed was how much shorter the trees grew here, the mountains flatter, and the air was cooler. She was getting used to solitude, but her thoughts often turned toward craving... companionship. Family. She certainly wanted to prove herself capable and strong, keeping in mind Scylla's advice of never expecting anyone to save her. No one would ever call her weak, she made a promise to herself not to allow it.
A strange chuff caught her attention and pulled her from her inner thoughts, curiosity sparking like a fire in her pink eyes. A hunt, she realized as she approached the gathering. Her steps faltered when she saw the creature they were planning to take down, its towering form a testament to nature's creativity. Inferna had never seen anything so absurd. Its neck stretched endlessly, its spotted coat like nothing she'd encountered before.
She hesitated on the edge of the group; four wolves were gathered - seemingly all strangers to each other just like she was, and one flanked by massive, intimidating dogs. Inferna shot them a smile, being a wolfdog herself.. it was nice to see them. She tilted her head as they started to strategize, her gaze fluttering between them and the giraffe.
"Big.. long.." she finally said, speaking short and to the point. She stepped closer, her curled tail raising slightly with her excitement as it swayed behind her. "The legs look really strong.. we'll need all the help we can get!" Her words exuded confidence despite her statement, and it was clear with the way she was looking at the giraffe that she was in. She wasn't sure if they would even acknowledge her, but she wasn't about to let that stop her from being a part of them. A part of the hunt.
Exploring and looking for trouble as always, Menace probably wasn't really supposed to be out this far but who was stopping her? Her fathers companion kept a watchful eye from the sky anyway so what could go wrong? A lot probably, but she wouldn't waste her time thinking about it. Not that she could much longer anyway, as a crowd of strangers came into view before her seemingly interesting in the strange long-neck thing munching on some leaves from the top of a tree. She'd never seen one before and wondered what it actually was. It was eating leaves, so it must be food right? Were they wanting to hunt it? Maybe she could help! Wouldn't Erebos be so proud of her for hunting something so big?! Forget all the strangers and the potential danger with that alone, not to mention the hunt itself, but Menace wasn't really one for making anything that might be considered a smart decision.
Quickly she approached the group from behind, smaller than the rest certainly but larger than the average pup for sure. She heard them mentioning it's legs and bringing it down that way. Sure, why not? She didn't really understand why, but since it seemed like that was all they would be able to reach it almost seemed like a no-brainer. "Can I help?" she asked, looking up at and between the taller wolves without realizing one of them wasn't much older than her due to his massive size alone.

Citadel was almost overwhelmed by the sudden influx of wolves that appeared before him, obviously interested in the same prey he was. There was a short discussion, and a brown wolf knew both what the creature was called, and the best way to deal with it. In light of his own inexperience, he found himself turning to the brown wolf with a similar eye marking as his own family.
“Alright, we’ll concentrate on a front leg, and some distraction.” it was about the most organising he could do, he glanced at the brown wolf again. Perhaps the older wolf would help wrangle some teamwork amongst all the strangers. “Sure” He grinned at the newest wolf, who also wished to help.
He leaped forward, and was moving directly for the front leg. They’d strategized enough, right?
