The sound of his raven companion cawing echoed ominously through the foggy woods, adding to the already quite sinister atmosphere of this place. Veigar moved slowly, his limbs carrying him meticulously through the forest, his head held low to the ground and swinging side to side as he made to scope out his surroundings- as much as he could without sight, of course. The fog was immediately obvious to him, even without vision to aid him. The air was chilly and heavy in a way it wasn't normally, the moisture filling his lungs as he inhaled a sharp breath and held it before releasing. The air, while refreshing, didn't quite calm the nerves; something about this place, its atmosphere, left him feeling more uneasy than usual.
The ground was difficult for him to traverse, with tree roots sprouting up in every direction he went. They tangled beneath his paws, mixing with the various mosses that coated their bark, making his paws slip toward solid ground. He was used to traveling carefully though, testing the ground before he put his weight down fully. He'd dealt with one too many slips and stumbles since going blind, he'd learned how to adapt.
It didn't help with the moisture in the air that made the dirt so much more slick. It seemed to soften, turning to mud in some spots. The fog was so thick that he very nearly felt condensation accumulating on his own coat. The uncertainty that hung heavy in the air made him feel even more on edge than usual. A soft breeze that whisked by made a shiver run down his spine. The temperatures were beginning to plummet as is, and the misty air didn't help the chill that seemed to seep down into his very core. His head lowered further, nostrils flaring wide as he tried to get a better sense of his surroundings, without much success.
Another sound from above alerted Veigar to the presence of someone. His raven companion was dutiful, for reasons Veigar couldn't quite comprehend, always alerting him to anything out of the ordinary. Wherever this threat was, though, it didn't seem the raven could pinpoint. Another sharp inhale told him the thick fog was growing thicker as he delved further into the forest. Perhaps it would let up soon, but for now he had a feeling he was about to be disoriented for quite some time. Maybe if he was lucky, he'd be able to figure out the way he came and head back.
The fog obscured his sense of smell almost completely. He didn't know anyone else was nearby until he ran practically head first into them- and then he instinctively reeled backwards and tried to steady himself.

Veigar is completely blind; his eyes are a hazy shade of pale yellow, though he tries his best to hide this fact.
His saliva also glows a faint shade of neon green since the Ooze event.

why on earth did he agree to come to the south? to fetch some damn herbs for the doctor.. but Kostas dunamis found himself stuck in a pickle; lost and alone, his day couldn't of gone any better. his massive paws struggled to avoid the spiny twigs on the forest floor-, proving to be an annoyance that consequently dragged on his mood. yet he presses on, determined to find an exit out this shit hole.
as he ventures deeper within the thickets, fog becomes nearly impossible to see through. scents compromised as the humidity in the air rose, altering him just enough to not notice someone approaching toward him.
and without warning, suddenly a smaller body came landing into him. instinctively, Kostas growled- a thick purr vibrating out his throat as he peered through the cloudy veils to spot a brown male with peculiar eyes. "Watch where the fuck you're going." he sneered as his eyes viciously bit at the other's features- spitting his words past clenched teeth. staring at the stranger as his nose flared, never moving but instead tossing his head to the side in effort to steer them out his way. kostas' patience wore thin today.

Veigar wasn't a fan of surprises. If he had it his way, every day would be exactly the same- no deviations from the usual. But being blind didn't afford him that opportunity. Sometimes things happened, things he could never anticipate, like.... running into a stranger. His protective instincts kicked in immediately as he collided with him, hackles raising and fur bristling as he made to lift his head a bit higher, wanting to come across as threatening.
If only he could bully his way out of every situation.
A growl ripped from his throat as he tried to determine the stranger's whereabouts. Even his voice seemed obscured in the thick fog, his scent even more difficult for Veigar to place.
"I could say the same to you," he snarled, barely hesitating before lunging forward. With his senses muffled, it was hard to tell the other man's exact position, but immediately Veigar was flooded with rage. The pale markings on his coat glowed in unison with his anger, neon green spittle flying from his mouth as he snapped his jaws toward Kostas, aiming to strike him.

it seems the fucking irony of today was at an all time high. "you fucking bumped into me, asshole." he snarled, his words rippling and enveloped by a guttural warning that only exaggerated by the second. hackles rose and his dual toned eyes narrowed,- and before he knew it the stranger lunged and attempted to bite Kostas. the fog did nothing help and he struggled to see which way they came toward, ultimately causing Kostas to react too slowly and only once he felt teeth grip and wrangle into the flesh of his left shoulder.
he growls in response, moving his body away to unlink the bite before then charging toward the stranger with arms raised. his hind legs kept his body tall and supported as he flung his frontal paws upward, hoping to land on the stranger in an attempt to at least locate and keep the stranger still enough to deliver a sustained attack. it was so fucking hard to see... but he pushed through by relying on touch. his jaws open then before aiming to bite any part of flesh he could.

Score. His erratic attack landed, at least for a moment. It was enough to kick start his adrenaline. He moved as swiftly as he could, wanting to keep his momentum. His fighting style had to be somewhat erratic and without hesitation- he found it was the only way he could ever succeed without sight. Always keep moving. Never hesitate. He tried to bare down on his bite, teeth sinking into flesh for the briefest second before his opponent reeled back, away from him.
Already at a disadvantage due to his lack of sight, the fog seemed to worsen things. Sounds and smells alike were muffled by the thick air, his senses struggling to anticipate the other man's movements. He was unable to predict his next move, and his paws came crashing down on Veigar's shoulder. He stumbled, paws slipping on the slick ground, laden with moisture from the fog above.
Even his raven companion, perched high in the trees above, was struggling to see through the fog. No sounds could be heard, and Veigar knew suddenly that he was on his own here. He wasn't the only one struggling with the limited visibility.
Trying to regain his composure, he used his weight to shove himself forward. His scruff was caught squarely between the jaws of the other. Another ferocious snarl fell from his lips as he gave his body a firm shake, trying to wrangle free from the stranger's jaws. He cared little for the damage done in the process. He extended a paw and aimed a swipe out, shoving himself forward all the while, hoping his erratic movements could help sway the fight in his favor.

as Kostas pulled away his shoulder from the other's mouth, the stranger made sure to pay him worth his effort, ripping even deeper into his flesh to create a moderate tear in the skin. the scent of blood evident and if he wasn't mistaken, fucking green glowing slime soused all over it! who the hell was this guy!? he fought like no other- sloppy and carless. did he have nothing to lose?
Kostas squinted through it all, the fog giving way to show only blurs of movement from the other. succession, although for a brief moment, was his own as he landed onto the stranger that seemingly slipped before catching their weight and footing. Kostas' jowls latched only for a fleeting moment over the man's scruff before he shook him off- the momentum knocking his forearms off the stranger's back all together. fuck.
without time or notice, Kostas received a strong slap to the face- leaving a mild contusion to swell underneath the left eye. he yelps from the pain. nose flaring as he continued to snarl, ears flattened and frustration growing by the minute. with one final attempt, Kostas drew forward in a hasty attempt to slam his chest into the other with force- intending to knock the other down.
