Basilisk chased her along the beach, but his heavy body impacted the shifting sands too readily. Her lighter form raced along it as if she was made of air. He stalked her through the warrens, sending his bird ahead to warn him of the direction she would pick when she hit the Col. He picked up the trail along the path to First Light Point. Weaving up the mountain after her. Knowing the catch would be all the sweeter for the effort of the chase. 


He found her form just moving over the top of the point and he slunk into the shadows, moving around. “Heeeere little Bird, little Bird.” He called out to her.
