Last night like this

He huffed, amused as he blew a breath gently against her nose. “I don’t think you're supposed to find the Warlord of the North beautiful.” He teased her softly. He rested his chin against her forehead, taking in the softness and warmth of her body for a moment. “In a few days, you will be my wife.” It wasn’t a question, just a thoughtful sort of statement. He was still adjusting to the thought, though he’d proposed to her a little while ago now.

“I wonder if it will change our lives at all.” He pulled her gently into her lap so that he could lean back against one of the walls of the cave. He brushed a paw idly through her fur. “Guess who I caught climbing the shelves of the storeroom.”
