Maybe she was wandering too far from the den, she didn't know. New scents and adventures awaited her. She needed to find some space, some time for herself. Growing sick and tired of the shenanigans from her brothers and sisters. She needed so desperately is to have time alone. Alone with her thoughts and mind. She wasn't strong, nor very talkative. She'd preferred the silence. Sagittarius wasn't like any of her siblings. Annoyance boiled and bubbled within her. As she growled and yipped at a bug. As it crossed in front of her. Paws to big for her own good stamping down into the ground, to scare the bug away. However it proved worthless events. That just pissed her off, and she grabbed a bigger twig and thrashed it around. Growling as she did so.

Pythia is nose deep in a bushel of heather when the stamping of paws and swiping of something in the air wafts over to her. The commotion of someone very upset about something brings the blind girl to raise her head, chin turning toward the ruckus of growls and grumbles. It clearly is coming from one of her siblings, but the wind isn't pushing in her direction so the scent doesn't quite reach over the perfume of the flowers around her.
Rather than wait to be whacked by whatever her sister is swinging, Pythia takes careful and calculated steps toward the noise. Testing each step to ensure she doesn't trip, Pythia makes her way over to Sagittarius with a raised brow and bunched up expression. "I'm not sure what you are doing, but it doesn't sound productive," Pythia comments, her speech rather proper for a pup her age. Standing there, paws neatly placed beside each other, she keeps her distance, just outside of the sound of the whirring of the stick.

The little females ears were back against her skull. The sound of another, her golden eyes catching the sight of her sister Pythia. She liked Pythia. As placing the stick down, the little woman wandered over to her sister, a soft and tender nudge is offered. "Hiya Pythia. I is sorry. Just upset." Wondering how her sister was doing. "I wans to be gown ups" She still slurred on certian words, but didn't care. "Ow you?" She offered her sister a small nuzzle and sat down.

Pythia is patient because she has to be. Impatience with her condition would mean causing injury to herself and well, she's just not that stupid. So she waits until Sagittarius places the stick down and walks over, giving her a gentle nudge with her nose. There is a graceful sort of smile on her ivory lips as she hears her sister sit down beside and begin talking in the way that Sagittarius does. It doesn't bother Pythia, she frankly doesn't care that her sister spoke differently. To her, they all did. Every wolf had their own voice, accent, inflections, a difference that made them their own.
"You are upset because you wish to be grown?" Pythia questions, her own hind end finding itself upon the ground, her fluffy white tail wrapped neatly around her legs. "Why? From what the grown ups speak of, it does not sound fun," she states, matter of fact and just very Pythia.
Her chin turns when Sagittarius nuzzles her softly, the puppy fur a pleasant feeling against her cheek. "I am fine, I suppose," Pythia says, face trying to find where exactly her sister was sitting, how close or near, but rather finding it hard now that they were sitting still.

Watching Pythia come closer, spotting the smile upon her bigger sisters maw. Ears perk forwards, she was learning how to speak more completely and not broken words. She offered her blind but gentle sister a soft gentle nudge and nuzzle against her cheek. Sagittarius was gentle with Pythia and has been since birth. Listening to her voice flow from her lips. Knowing Pythia was way too wise for her young and tender age. Maybe she was right. Her eyes looking towards Pythia and then over the terrian. "I think it could be fun, I wants to be strong and be able to protect you and other siblings." She spoke honestly. "I beside you sissy." She stated gently. Wondering if there was ever a way that she could possibly help Pythia gain vision, a soft sigh was released. Her tiny teeth gently tugging on her sisters ear as her tail danced around.
|
It is not lost on Pythia that her siblings are all much more gentle with her than they are the others. All the nudges and nuzzles that she receives is not for naught. Pythia does appreciate the gestures, for they help her improve and learn much faster. Though she doesn't wish to be pitied. That was a feeling that made her teeth grind together and her muscles tense up. But she knew, could tell by the way Sagittarius moved, that it was not pity that drove her, but worry. Worry for her and that made Pythia grateful.
"Strong and protective are good things to be," Pythia starts, a smile embracing her pale lips as her sister tugs playfully at her ear. Quickly turning her chin to playfully snap in Sagittarius' direction, hoping to connect with thick puppy scruff fur, she lets out a quiet, barking laugh. "But do you not want to be a puppy first? Do father and mothers not protect us enough?" She questions, head canting as her nose finds Sagittarius' cheek to help sooth her sister's worries.

Sagittarius was always rougher with her other siblings, but with Pythia she was more gentle. Although knowing Pythia could hold her own, especially with stronger senses. Her tail gave a wag as it would make little sounds from gliding over the small shoots of grass. Listening to Pythia's words flow from her small lips.
Pythia was wise beyond her years. Like a ancient soul trapped in a small body, although to the little red and charcoal she-wolf Pythia was much bigger even as a pup. "Mamas and papas do keep us safe. And being a puppy is fun, but does get boring." She laughed as she felt the bite filled with playfulness connect within the scruff.
Allowing her head to fall against her sisters shoulder. Words seeping out. "Although you are blind, I suppose you could smell in color and feel things differently than we can." She didn't like that her sister was blind, not one bit and would try to find a way to get her vision back. Even if it did seem like a task that would never end.
Pythia lets out a dry chuckle, her head shaking softly. "Boring? What is boring about having fun and playing all the time? Adults pay us more attention than they do the others!" She chides Sagittarius, curious why her sister was so determined to grow up already. They already had so much growing up to do that being an adult was the last thing on her own mind. She wanted to discover the wonders of the world, learn more about their God, Abraxas, and so many other things. Plus, with the healing arts being at her toe tips, there was so many to figure out.
Relaxing into Sagittarius' form, Pythia rests her own head against the top of her sister's head. It was no doubt that though Pythia was disabled, she would end up being one of the bigger pups from the litter. "I feel everything," Pythia starts, her toes wiggling against the soft dirt of the moor that they sit on. "I can tell when someone is coming by the weight of their step. I can hear them rustle through the grasses. I can smell their scent wafting over the breeze. I may be blind, dear sister, but I am not inept. I don't know what color is. All I see is shadows and light, some blobby forms, big or small, but that is the extent," she admits with a sigh, a frown running across her lips.

Sagittarius pondered as she heard her sister chuckles out. Then her words falling from her. 'Boring? What is boring about having fun and playing all the time? Adults pay us more attention than they do the others!' Pythia was honest, and spoke truth more than some of the others have. Life had given the youngster a new look on life. And it had made Sagittarius wonder even more. So she sat there, deep within thought as feeling Pythia relax against her, she had begun to speak once more.
'I feel everything. I can tell when someone is coming by the weight of their step. I can hear them rustle through the grasses. I can smell their scent wafting over the breeze. I may be blind, dear sister, but I am not inept. I don't know what color is. All I see is shadows and light. Some blooby forms, big or small, but that is the extent," Upon hearing her sister speak, the sigh is what causes the smaller pup to allow her tongue to kiss her sisters cheek.
"You are so strong. And I believe that it will make you a great leader if that is a path you choose with life. For you do not allow it to bring you down but bring you new senses to the world around us." Tarius would ponder for a moment as ears swivel upon her skull. Playfully nudging her sister, not wanting her down and feel down. She piped up once more.
"I wonder if you could also teach us all to rely more on our senses than our vision. It wouldn't be a easy task, but I'm up for a challenge." It was true, maybe it would help for herself to see the world differently. To give her a new understanding with life. One thing was for sure, Sagittarius wasn't one that didn't ask questions. No she's the one others wish she'd shut the hell up and listen.
The smile upon Pythia's soft pink and ivory muzzle is nearly smug. Her sister inflates her ego and she wasn't going to stop her. Even leaning into the lick across her cheek, Pythia lets out a pleased hum. "A leader? It is an interesting path to consider," the blind pup mulls over the idea. Both of their parents were leaders after all so it wouldn't come as a surprise if one of them aspired to be one as well.
It is the next suggestion from Tarius that piques Pythia's interest. "Teach? You lot?" A barking laugh leaves her, her tone teasing as she quickly reaches out to boop her sister with her pale pink nose. "Why don't I start with just you? Might be easier than a whole group," Pythia suggests. Though her eyes don't meet her sister, rather preferring to stay ahead and into the distance, it is clear by her expression that she is being earnest. If Tarius wanted a lesson, Pythia would provide.

The little crimson and ebony stained pup listened to Pythia's words. 'A leader? It is an interesting path to consider,' But it also wasn't far fetched, although Sagittarius was smaller than her sister - it didn't bother her one bit. Tarius actually enjoyed it. A brief wave of her tail offered. The ivory young ladys words flowing once more. 'Teach? You lot?' Ears swiveled as a laughing bark emitted from Pythia made Sagittarius do the same, cutting short feeling the touch of her sisters nose upon her.
'Why don't I start with just you? Might be easier than a whole group,' It was honest. Some of the siblings seemed not interested yet. "Like a one on one lesson with just me?" It caused the young pups heart jump, as she barks out excitedly. "I think it would be a great start, one that could help me more in life. I think it could be beneficial - I think that's the word." Now, Sagittarius was eager to learn everything that she could, even if it meant putting herself first being able to protect those around her.
Sagittarius was always eager to learn and try to combat with a open mind, and Pythia's lessons could always help more than she could ever understand. "Where do we start?" Asking out as her tail waved around behind her, causing small clouds of dust and debris to float around behind the duo.
Pythia smiles softly, a tender expression for a sister she felt closest to. The others were fine, but Sagittarius cared the most. Tried the most. Attempted to connect and spend time with her more than the others did. Well, Cutlass attempted quite a bit as well, but the rest, well practically lost causes, no? She shouldn't think that... Not yet at least. Give them a chance. The pup can't help but snort to herself, lost in her thought as Sagittarius' excitement grows.
"Beneficial is a great word," Pythia agrees with a slight nod of her head, her smile unwavering. "I suppose we start with you closing your eyes," she starts, her voice a tad hesitant now. It was the first time she was going to attempt to teach anyone anything, and as much as her heart and brain will her to be successful, she won't blame Sagittarius if she ends up disappointed.
"Once your eyes are closed, still yourself. Slow your breathing, open your ears, drink in the world around you. Sounds, scents, feeling," her voice is quiet, certain now after a moment of recollecting herself. And she does it too. Though she doesn't need to close her eyes, she still does it. Allowing her body to relax and open up to the moor that surrounds them.

Pythia was tender, but as strong as the rest of the siblings. Excitement still raced within this youngster. Her sisters words flowing to Sagittarius. The smile that never went away made the crimson and ebony girl smile in return. 'Beneficial is a great word, I suppose we start with you closing your eyes.' Pythia stated to her. As Sagittarius allowed her eyes to close slowly. Making sure that she was still close by. 'Once your eyes are closed, still yourself. Slow your breathing, open your ears, drink in the world around you. Sounds, scents, feeling.'
She drew in a breath, digging her paws into the dirt and flowers under her. It however made her feel different. The yellow pools weren't closed too tight, almost as if she was in a relaxing sleep. Ears turn to the sounds around her, birds singing and a few rabbits not far off nibbling upon green shoots and flowers alike.
Sagittarius allowed her breathing to slow down, acceptance. It was a lesson, something that could help her become more sightful to things and others around her. She listens for a movement from her sister, wondering if she had wandered off. She felt warm winds dance over her, silence from her eyes, but little colored bubbles form within her eyes. Those that as soon as you close your eyes and its bright outside. Those types of circles of color.
Was this what Pythia spoke about? It couldn't be it all. She began to relax more and more, accepting the familiar sounds that made the moor, Sagittarius began to worry slightly, but drew in a slow steady breath. Her heart slowing and accepting the fact that right now she could not see with eyes closed. Feeling a butterfly circle around the still pup and land upon her nose, she felt the fluttering of the wings even though lightly almost like a feather. Causing a small sneeze as it tickled her nose.
Pythia stills, allowing her sister time to adjust and compensate to being without sight. It was something she was required to do every day. She was required to take in every sound, every scent, every feeling, emotion, touch, everything. In a way, being blind was helpful because she could focus on how someone was breathing or if there was danger closer by. Being aware of her surroundings in a way everyone else wasn't was an advantage in Pythia's mind. Would her sister agree?
After a few minutes of silence, Pythia decides to continue. "Now that you have adjusted to no sight, try to focus on a particular sound. Can you hear rabbits digging dirt? Deer grazing on grass? A bird flying through the air?" It would help her sister heighten her hearing if she stressed it enough, she was sure of it.

Everything around her from the singing crickets and the birds songs within the skies played all parts with Sagittarius. Focusing though more and more - training herself to listen for her sisters steps or her soft voice. It all felt new, different for the young girl. Her nose twitched, picking up different scents, then her sisters vocals rang to her after the silence that fell over the siblings.
Taking a deep breath and slowly releasing it, allowing her thumping heart to settle, feeling that of the wind cascade over the moor, carrying the floral scents with the rich earth tones along with it. Feeling the little vibrations of a rabbit digging as Sagittarius tilted her head, sniffing at the wind the best she could.
A wave of her tail as she allowed another breath, ears twisted to the sound of deer and their young traveling carefully ears turn to the source.
